HOW TO APPLY

Administrative Assistant / Receptionist

Two part-time candidates or one full-time candidate will be considered for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Offer courteous and professional customer service to clients and guests.
  • Answer phones, manage appointments, reply to e-mail and maintain proper communication with clients, visitors, and members of the trade.
  • Prepare, receive and track shipments.
  • Log status of services and contact clients with updates.
  • Maintain showroom tidiness and presentation.
  • Re-order supplies and stock hospitality area.
  • Track and log all shipments.
  • Assist sales and management team with other administrative needs.
  • Facilitate social media management and on-line chat communication.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
  • Must be hospitable and able to carefully follow procedures.
  • Must have comparable previous professional experience (minimum of 3 years) in administrative assistant / receptionist capacity.
  • Must have strong overall computing abilities as well as data entry and word processing.
  • Have an interest in learning about fine jewelry.

HOURS & COMPENSATION

  • $12/hr to $18/hr (based on experience) plus overtime, if applicable
  • Paid time off for full-time candidates
  • Vision, dental, & very generous 401(K) for full time candidates
  • Typical workweek is approximately 30 hours for part time and 45-48 for full time

Experienced Sales Associate

JOB DESCRIPTION

Diamond Vault, with its landmark location in Sarasota, Florida, is seeking motivated sales professionals with strong jewelry knowledge and experience. As the premier fine jeweler in SW Florida, Diamond Vault’s showroom houses a regionally-unrivaled selection of diamond jewelry, loose diamonds, custom jewelry, Swiss watches, and estate pieces. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess customer needs and encourage interest in merchandise using experience and understanding of industry trends. Provide excellent customer service in a professional manner with the ability to confidently and respectably engage a diverse clientele.
  • Process repair orders, complete sales using POS software, and follow similar day-to-day procedures.
  • Purchase jewelry for refinement by identifying metals, evaluating diamonds and gemstones, and presenting offers per commodity values.
  • Assist with store openings and closings, inventory management, and merchandising.
  • Be knowledgeable about or be willing to gain knowledge of diamonds, precious metals, and color gemstones.
  • Understand full range of showroom merchandise, special order, valuation, and custom work possibilities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-5 years minimum experience in fine jewelry sales.
  • Aptitude with computer operating systems and basic programs.
  • Applicants with Graduate Gemologist degrees or other industry-specific credentials are most desirable and these qualifications will be considered in lieu of sales experience requirements.
  • Extremely promising applicants with less experience may be considered for a Sales Assistant role.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

  • Annual Compensation: $40,000 – $75,000
  • Other Pay: Paid holidays; performance bonuses
